Stagehand Pro+
What is a Stagehand Pro+ and how to use it
Original Versions of the Stagehand Pro
Over the last decade we have introduced several versions of the Stagehand Pro with progressively more capabilities and features. The Stagehand Pro+ brings those previous generations up to date to our latest iteration, Stagehand Pro 5, while maintaining as much of the original packaging as possible for a much more cost-effective upgrade.
At the heart of the upgrade is a brand new Stagehand Control Card, powered by an ARM Cortex M4 processor and a PMD (Performance Motion Devices) Magellan motion chip. This new architecture breaths new features, like split accel/decel and limit overrides into any generation of Stagehand Pro!
Pro+ New Features
Split Acceleration and Deceleration
Write more complex cues with different ramp up and ramp down times
Large Graphical OLED Display
See more information at a glance rather than cycling through all the fault codes
Built-In Brake Testing
Instead of big, bulky buttons for brake tests, you can simply navigate to brake test function on the card
Limit and Sensor Overrides
The limit and sensor override status displays on the Stagehand Display as well as in Spikemark
Improved Load Cell Input
Detect changes in load with higher precision
Control Circuit Protection
Since we haven't needed the battery backup since Spikemark 3, we replaced the oldest Pros with much needed fuse protection for the control and encoder circuits
VFD Parameter Library
Change VFD Parameter Set from Spikemark(5.5.2 or later) and not a VFD keypad
Parameters
With upgraded features comes updated Parameters.

Troubleshooting
The same basic troubleshooting you'll find here holds true with the Pro+, but we did make some changes, so there are a few additional steps to take before reaching out.
Power
The Green Power Indicator is not on
Check the power is connected and any breakers are turned on
Confirm (with a meter) you have 208VAC 3P
The Stagehand Display isn't on but the Green Power Indicator is
Check the 24VDC control fuse
Encoder
Encoder counts are not changing on the Stagehand Display
Check the 5VDC encoder fuse (depending on Pro version)
Check encoder cable connections
Emergency Stop
Emergency Stop is Displayed on the Stagehand Display
An e-stop is engaged or the Showstopper cable is not connected
Confirm the Showstopper Base is operating
VFD Keypad is displaying "SA"
The E-stop is engaged - release the e-stop
engage the e-stop then release to clear the Safety Controller
