Position Scale Wizard

To use the wizard:

Select the machine you want to scale, and click on Position Scale in the Stagehand Properties Panel

Mark the position of the scenery with tape or record how high the scenery is off the ground:

Press the Reset Zero button to zero the position counter

Run the scenery manually as far as safely possible

Measure and enter the distance traveled as well as the desired measurement units

Remember to subtract the original distance from the ground to be total travel distance not the new height.

Press the Use New Scale button

The more accurate the measurement, the better your positioning will be.

The wizard will calculate the position the position scale for you. This is a handy shortcut, and should be used whenever possible. However, it is possible to use a calculator to determine the position scale manually.
