## Load Alarm Thresholds

How to set **Underweight Threshold, Overweight Threshold, Aux Threshold**

* **Underweight Threshold:** Any load reading below this will trigger an Underweight Alarm <img src="/files/PAuRZbqg3IA9XPNe6BW0" alt="" data-size="line">
* **Overweight Threshold:** Any load reading above this will trigger an Underweight Alarm <img src="/files/sswvZrCcgZI2G0nj0vzZ" alt="" data-size="line">
* **Aux Weight Threshold:** This is a "safe weight" or "soft threshold" between Underweight and Overweight that can be used as another visual reference. Spikemark registers this is either above or below Aux Weight.

**BEFORE YOU BEGIN**

Make sure you know precisely how much weight you will be adding for each measurement.
{% endhint %}

### To Measure System Weight

* **Weight 1:** Completely unload the load cell, **input 0** for the weight, and click **Record**

  <figure><img src="/files/w5LgChbgwG8jnINxdHeB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
* **Weight 2:** Load about **1/2 of the** **Maximum Allowable Weight** to the syste&#x6D;**, input that weight** in Value &#x32;**,** and click **Record**

  <figure><img src="/files/fLSUnuTNp0TRmQnFtORS" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
* **Weight 3:** Load the **Maximum Allowable Weight** to the system, **input that weight** in Value 3, and click **Record**

  <figure><img src="/files/SFBur0hDGvNr11F1shyt" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### To Measure Additional Load ONLY

* **Weight 1:** Hang your batten or other system components, then **input 0** for Value 1, and click **Record.**

{% hint style="info" %}
Notice how the raw data being read is starting higher, even with the same Weight Value of 0
{% endhint %}

* **Weight 2:** Load about **1/2 of the** **Maximum Allowable Weight** to the syste&#x6D;**, input that weight** in Value &#x32;**,** and click **Record** \\
