# Adjusting Location On Stage

## **Distance from Center**<img src="/files/-MhtURYRwFshUUMSRZMF" alt="" data-size="line">

This number is the distance away from the Centerline in feet. A negative number will move the Zero Point towards Stage Right, and a positive number will move the Zero Point towards Stage Left.

## **Distance from Plaster** <img src="/files/-MhtUa0SEm1zHjARHbXd" alt="" data-size="line">

A positive number will move the unit further Up Stage. Note that the Zero Point is at the center of the unit, so you’ll need to calculate the location of the Down Stage edge by subtracting ½ the unit width from your Distance from Plaster.

## **Elevation from Stage**<img src="/files/-MhtUd_7fwxYuOisr0Xp" alt="" data-size="line">

This number moves the Zero Point up and down from the upper surface of the Stage. A negative number moves the Zero Point below the stage, and a positive number moves the Zero Point above the stage. This is especially useful for traveler tracks and elevators that don’t typically sit on the deck.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/stage-model-viewer/adjusting-location-on-stage.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
