# Adding Motors or Machines

We do a lot with motors. *Shocking as an automation company, I know.* In Spikemark, we have quite a few tools to help you Add, Configures, Use, and Export Motors.

### [Machine Library](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/machinery)

If you are using any [Stock Machine](https://creativeconners.com/products/#Machines) Manufactured by Creative Conners, we suggest you add your machine to your show through the [Machine Library](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/adding-motors/machine-library). We have done all the pre-configuration for you. Start with the correct [position scale](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/position-scale/position-scale), [max speed](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/speed), and more.

### [**Adding a Custom Machine**](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/adding-motors/custom-machines)

If you are using a machine not manufactured by Creative Conners, you will need to do all the [configuration](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/steps-for-a-successful-load-in) of a new machine. If you are using your own custom machine, you will need a Stagehand to connect to Spikemark. Check out these article for [adding](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/adding-motors/custom-machines), [importing](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/adding-motors/importing-motors-or-machines), and [exporting](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/adding-motors/exporting-motors-or-machines), custom machines in Spikemark.
