An FX Input trigger waits for an input switch to be activated on a Stagehand FX, then starts the following step.

## Editing

After you have [added a fx input trigger](/docs/spikemark-6/cues/cue-creation/add-triggers.md) click it to open the trigger editor.

* Select the FX that you want to monitor from the "Fx" dropdown list.
* Enter the target input in the "Watch Input" field.
* Click the "Save Changes" button to save your changes.

{% hint style="info" %}
The trigger becomes armed when the step starts. If the input is activated before the step starts, the trigger will not fire.
{% endhint %}
