# Adding Custom Motors or Machines To Spikemark

## **Custom Machines**

Start by adding a new blank motor,

Click on Stagehand in the Toolbar, then select Add Motor

After [configuring](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/steps-for-a-successful-load-in) your new motor, you can [save the motor](https://docs.creativeconners.com/docs/spikemark/adding-motors/exporting-motors-or-machines) file to be used as a preset motor later.
