* Plywood should have at least (1) A graded face veneer to provide a smooth rolling surface for the wheels. If using hardwood plywood $ (e.g. birch, poplar, maple, etc.), then lower face veneer grades may be acceptable. If using MDO $$, then treat the better side as you would face grain.
** Alternate hardware options are similar sized flat head cap screws (FHCS), but these are more expensive. They also have a larger diameter head, so adjust countersink depth accordingly.
Material Sourcing Notes
Plywood is linked with Lowe’s as the supplier, but you can likely get better pricing and delivery options from your local lumber yard. Pricing will vary depending on location. Above is pricing as of May 2022.
Additional lumber is required if you want to construct square platforms to surround the turntable.
If you are outsourcing your CNC cut plywood parts, you may want to ask about buying plywood through that vendor as they may get better pricing and could simplify shipping.
