Firmware Update

circle-exclamation
  1. Update to <a href=https://store.creativeconners.com/products/spikemark-3>Spikemark version 6.3.0

  2. Verify the Pendant IP Address and Port in the Pendant Configuration Menu

    • In Spikemark 6.3.0 we started using Port 5000 as the default. It tends to have less inteference than 8080 or 9090, so we suggest switching to that.

  3. Do NOT enable pendant

  4. Turn on the Pendant and verify that the IP Addresses and Port match what is in Spikemark

  5. Click "Connect" on the pendant.

    • It WILL NOT CONNECT since you are not enabled

  6. In Spikemark, go to the top menu bar and select "Update Pendant Firmware"

    • Once the Pendant is updated, I believe it will automatically restart. Once it is back on, turn the switch off for at least 60 seconds to verify all power has dissipated.

  7. On restart, you should be good to go!

If you get an error message about the directory not being found

  1. The mosty likely answer is that Spikemark is not looking in the right place for the file. This is usually due to opening the show file directly from it's location on the computer instead of opening Spikemark from the Start menu, desktop shortcut, or Task Bar, and then going to File>Open to open your show file.

  2. If you have opened Spikemark "correctly" and you're still running into trouble, there is a chance that the directory did not write correctly on installation. I would verify that the folder is not empty. The firmware should be in the following location: C:\Users[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Spikemark Firmware\Pendant

    • We have seen this a few times on computers that are IT controlled, but we haven't quite figured out yet what exactly is happening/causing it
